Growing up in Colorado, Mae learned the value of financial independence early in life. She began working at the age of fifteen and understands the importance of hard work and building wealth. Mae is passionate about helping people create their own money stories and achieve financial security. Outside of her professional career, Mae volunteers her time to support various community initiatives. She has been a mentor and financial literacy instructor with The Reentry Initiative since 2019 and previously volunteered with the Asian Pacific Development Center and Hmong American Association of Colorado.
Mae is committed to empowering under-resourced women, like her younger self, to create the life transformations they desire. She donates 100% of the Kindle version of her book, “Journey to Now: Stories of Healing, Self-Discovery, and Transformation,” to the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. This school provides a supportive environment where students learn leadership skills, compassion, and decision-making through academics and social-emotional learning. Mae’s inspiration is to encourage young women to take charge of their lives and create a life without limits, using her mojo: “You don’t have to wait for a seat at the table. You can create your own table.”
