TRI Board Member Mae Yang

Mae Yang is a Financial Optimization Consultant and the Founder & CEO of MEG Financial Wellness, LLC. She holds a Life, Accident, and Health Producer License in multiple states, as well as being a Certified Financial Education Instructor and holding a Master of Science in Criminology. Additionally, Mae is a member of the Financial Speaker Association and an author.

Through her 12-year career in government entities in various capacities, Mae has gained diverse experiences across multiple areas in the criminal justice system, public services, financial, and insurance industry. She offers a range of financial services including financial planning, retirement planning, insurance planning, and financial education, with a strategic approach aimed at helping clients achieve their financial objectives. To cater to individual requirements, she employs a diverse portfolio of innovative products and solutions.

Growing up in Colorado, Mae learned the value of financial independence early in life. She began working at the age of fifteen and understands the importance of hard work and building wealth. Mae is passionate about helping people create their own money stories and achieve financial security. Outside of her professional career, Mae volunteers her time to support various community initiatives. She has been a mentor and financial literacy instructor with The Reentry Initiative since 2019 and previously volunteered with the Asian Pacific Development Center and Hmong American Association of Colorado.

Mae is committed to empowering under-resourced women, like her younger self, to create the life transformations they desire. She donates 100% of the Kindle version of her book, “Journey to Now: Stories of Healing, Self-Discovery, and Transformation,” to the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. This school provides a supportive environment where students learn leadership skills, compassion, and decision-making through academics and social-emotional learning. Mae’s inspiration is to encourage young women to take charge of their lives and create a life without limits, using her mojo: “You don’t have to wait for a seat at the table. You can create your own table.”
