Who We Are

The Reentry Initiative (TRI) is recognized for its unique, evidence-based process supporting individuals involved in the justice system with holistic, wrap-around services. In our Longmont headquarters, we serve those on probation and parole in the St. Vrain Valley region of Boulder County, Colorado. We passionately believe no matter what mistakes people have made, they can positively transform their lives, respecting their dignity and humanity.

The Reentry Initiative was founded in 2016 by Deborah Simmons, who, after two decades of working with incarcerated individuals, was inspired by the shared experiences and challenges she encountered. Her personal journey through addiction and recovery deepened her empathy, leading her to establish TRI to provide holistic support for those transitioning from incarceration to community life.
